Every room and suite reflects a world of royalty with its exquisite antiques, rich tapestry and paintings from an era gone by. *** From May until September 15, 2007 half of the 2nd floor of the hotel rear wing is undergoing renovations. Scaffolding will be erected facing the central courtyard and back gardens. Rooms on the first floor Lobby Level and ground floor Garden Wing that are below the renovation will be closed. The Indian specialty restaurant is also undergoing renovation until June 30, 2007, along with the indoor swimming pool. All other areas of the hotel are operational.

Hotel Room Types-B1D- Current base category of the Palace, these are the non-renovated rooms of the hotel, located on the third Floor of the Palace. These rooms have an aerial view of the sprawling Mughal Gardens, terrace and Central Courtyard. The average carpeted area of these rooms is 500 sq. ft. with combination of king and twin beds. The rooms have wall to wall carpet flooring. The furniture of the rooms is old however not antique. The bathrooms of these rooms do not have separate shower cubicles. These bathrooms are tiled and have old fixtures. -A1D- There are 35 renovated and 8 non renovated rooms offering king/double/twin beds separate sitting area in a few, overlooking gardens or courtyard area. The flooring of the rooms is either marble or a combination of granite and wood. Some of these rooms have their individual theme with canopy beds. Average carpet area of a luxury rooms is 600 sq. ft. These rooms have rich drapes, brocade work, raw silk panel work, gold leaf enamel work cabinets, hand knotted carpets and comfortable seating. Many of the rooms have private sit-out or sitting area overlooking the garden and courtyard. These rooms are located on all 3 floors. Luxury rooms have 4 fixture bathrooms with marble and granite flooring. All renovated rooms have seperate shower cubicles in the bathrooms. 08 non-renovated luxury rooms are thematic i.e. Sheesh Mahal (Beautiful Mirror work on the ceiling), Safari Suite (jungle theme), Kamal Mahal (Lotus theme) etc. These rooms are very unique and are perfect reflection of Rajput and Mughul architecture. -A1S- Every Suite has its distinctive style with an average carpet area of 700 sq. ft. There is a choice of new contemporary version of the modern suite and the original theme based suites of the palace such as Mount batten Suite, Chandra Niwas, Pothikhana, Sawai Man Singh Suite etc. The historical suites present a welcoming ambience with marble floors, exquisite Rajasthani art-work and sheer fabrics, which enable crisp sunlight to enhance the beauty of each room. The view from the suites is either courtyard or gardens. The difference between a Luxury room and Historical Suite is of the sitting area along with the bedroom. Most of these Suites have been renovated, however we have restored few of the original suites such as Mount Batten Suite (Lord Mount Batten - Last Governor General of India had stayed in this suite), Pothikhana (Personal Study of the Maharaja Man Singh II) etc.
