Tian An Men SquareThe square covers 44 hectares which is the largest square in the world. Capacity is for approximately 5 million people. Tiananmen is a symbol of the Chinese capital. On the eastern side of the square is the Musuem of Chinese History and opposite is the Great Hall of the People.
The Great Wall of ChinaCertainly one of the world's greatest tourist attractions, the Great Wall was built section by section between the 5th century BC and the 16th century AD. It goes on for a total of 5,000 kilometers. Two sections preferred by tourists are Badaling and Mutianyu where cable cars are available. Located 80km north of Beijing.
The Forbidden CityOfficially known as the former Imperial Palace, the Forbidden City is where China's last Emperor, Pu Yi, resided. It was built in the early 14th century for the Ming Emperor and totals an area of 183 acres.
